 The number of patients infected with the corona virus is increasing continuously across the country.  According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 1429 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 57 people have died.  After this, the total number of corona positive cases across the country has increased to 24,506, out of which 18,668 are active, 5,063 people have become healthy or have been discharged from hospital and 775 have died.  At the same time, today 61 cases have been reported in Andhra Pradesh, 25 in Rajasthan, 15 in Karnataka and two in Bihar.  Read here all the updates related to corona virus in the country ...



61 new cases were reported in Andhra Pradesh


 According to data from the Andhra Pradesh State Command Control Room, 61 new Corona positive cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.  With this, the total number of corona positive cases in the state has gone up to 1016.  In which 31 people have died and 171 people have been discharged from the hospital.

Silence in Jama Masjid area

15 new cases reported in Karnataka


 There have been 15 new positive cases in Karnataka from 5 pm on April 24 to 12 noon today.  So far, 489 corona-positive cases have been confirmed.  Out of which 18 people have died and 153 people have been discharged from the hospital.

 Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that Ramadan is the time to offer Namaz and pray.  It is also a time to pray for the protection of the people of the world from the corona.  Religious-social leaders and the central government have appealed to people to stay at home and take precaution and offer Namaz.

Cabinet Secretary meeting with Chief Secretaries of States and DGP

 Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gaba is meeting with the Chief Secretaries and DGP of the states through video conferencing.  The situation in Corona and the states to start economic activities as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the issue of migrant laborers trapped in the country and Indians trapped abroad are also being discussed.

There will be a meeting under the chairmanship of CM today to open shops in Gujarat.


 Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said that we will easily implement the decision to open shops in rural areas.  But as far as implementation in urban areas is concerned, we will do it as per the conditions in the notification of the Center.  There will be a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in the afternoon, a decision will be taken after discussion.

Expect relaxation in lockdown in Delhi after April 30


 Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said after reports of some employees of Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital found to be Corona positive, reports of several people in Jahangirpuri area have been Corona positive.  The hospital is located in this area and some positive cases have also been found here.

 On the Delhi government's plan to extend the lockdown or give some relaxation to the state capital, he said that discussions are going on.  Which is yet to be finalized.  There is some possibility only after 30th April.

 He said that there are a total of 2,514 cases of coron in Delhi, out of which 138 are of Friday cases.  Of these, 857 people have been cured and 53 have died.  29 patients are still in ICU and nine are on ventilator.

Home Ministry issued clarification regarding order to open shops


 The Home Ministry has issued a clarification regarding the order to open the shops.  In the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, it is said that it is permissible to open all shops except shopping malls in rural areas.  All single shops, neighborhood shops, residential complexes are permitted to open shops in urban areas.

 Opening of shops is not allowed in market / market premises and shopping malls.  It is clarified that sales by e-commerce companies will only continue for essential items.  It has also been clarified that the ban on sale of liquor and other items continues.

 As mentioned in the Consolidated Revised Guidelines, these shops will not be allowed to open in areas, whether in rural or urban areas, which have been declared as Containment Areas by the concerned State / UT.

Clinical trial of plasma therapy in Karnataka


 A clinical trial of plasma therapy was started at BMC Victoria Hospital in Bangalore today in the presence of Karnataka Health and Family Welfare Minister B Sriramulu and Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar.

Two new cases in Bihar, 225 infected


 Bihar Principal Health Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that two new cases of corona positive have been registered in the state.  In new cases one has been found in Bhojpur and one in Buxar district.  After this, the total number of corona positive patients in the state has increased to 225.

Lackdown in Assam has not been relaxed


 Assam Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna said that the state government has decided not to relax the lockdown.  A decision in this regard will be taken on 27 April.

Bihar government may also start plasma therapy


 Bihar Principal Health Secretary Sanjay Kumar told that the Bihar government is planning to start plasma therapy at AIIMS, Patna.  Significantly, on Friday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that plasma therapy done on patients in Delhi has been successful.

25 new cases were reported in Rajasthan


 According to the data released by the Rajasthan Health Department, 25 new cases of corona positive have been reported in the state till 9 am today.  The new cases include eight in Ajmer, two in Dhaulpur, one in Dungarpur, five each in Jhalawar and Jodhpur and four in Kota.  With this, the total number of positive cases in the state has increased to 2059.

Lucknow's 'Tunde Kabbi' shop closed


 Lucknow's well-known Tunde Kabbi shop is closed for the first time due to the lockdown in Uttar Pradesh.  A local person told that we have been seeing this from my life, this shop has never been closed till date.  Especially in the month of Ramadan, there used to be a crowd here till 1-2 in the night.

Under Maharashtra Municipality in Nagpur, migrant laborers are being given skill development training in the shelter home.

A nursing officer has been found infected with corona in AIIMS, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.  He was stationed in the ward of Corona and was in Quarantine since 14 April.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has given permission to open small shops in all states and union territories, giving some concessions during lockdown.  But there will be no change in hotspots and containment zones.
